Paths of movement and power.
Gregory Kucera is an artist, intellectual, studied under and collaborated with the major artist/filmmakers John Baldessari, Mike Kelley, Sylvere Lotringer, Patti Podesta, Christopher Nolan, and Wally Pfister, Guy Pierce.
Kucera graduated from Occidental College, with BA’s in Psychology/Psychophysiology, Film, and Fine Art. He gained an MFA at Art Center College of Design, while focused on machine technology, cybernetics, critical theory, and neuromorphic intellectual property.
His original career approached the artworld through a technological lens, cybernetics, and brain machine interfaces, but prioritized an academic post graduate career. He filed patents to integrate non-invasive medical devices for use in mass customization, and computer driven production. This work was eventually enabled and involved area’s of national security science, and was thus repurposed by Sandia National Labs.
Kucera has taught at the University of Southern California, Art Center College of Design, Otis College of Art, in addition to international art museum and creative exhibitions, significantly influenced by John Baldessari, Mike Kelley, Sylvere Lotringer, Patti Podesta, Christopher Nolan, and Wally Pfister, Guy Pierce.
Kucera has been featured in articles for the ARTFORUM, ArtNews, ArtNet, the Observer, Seattle Intelligencer, and The Art Newspaper. Collections include Albright-Knox, San Jose Airport, and worked with the Getty, LACMA, MOCA, Basel Kunsthalle.
Currently Kucera is obligated for research and lawfare regarding national security, and is an intelligence professional with an elaborate dossier with all the national security agencies operating in the United States.
Kucera is currently a government whistleblower.
